Being A Christian

Lately, I have been reading my Bible and going to church. I read Bible lessons from my Youversion.com app on my phone. I consider myself a Christian even though my past behavior and sometimes present does not reflect what it means to be a Christian. But still I am learning.

Through these things I have learned that your relationship with God is the most important. Having that relationship is the foundation of being a Christian. Some human, myself included, think that when you make a mistake that it remove you from God. Really, your mistake does not remove you from God, but the realization that you made one and honest sorry about that mistake.

This blog is not to convert people into Christianity, but to share my feeling on it. I write more on this topic in the future. God bless.

I think that you have something to say about religion is good, and whether I agree or not, is not the point what is ,is that you are allowed to without being made to feel like you have silly ideas or ridiculed . Blue

wouldn't you view of a personal relationship with God apply to all monotheistic religions?

msbradford83 said about 2 years ago ...

Thanks for the comments. I think with any religious belief, a relationship is necessary.

I'd probably use the word "practice" instead of relationship. Buddhism doesn't have a god, so there isn't a relationship to be had :) I'm trying to generalize it more.

I don't know much about Buddhism, but in other faiths believe in God and believe in a one on one relationships.

I haven't been going to church as often as I want to but when I do go there's one I go to because - well - I like it. I haven't been holding up my end of my relationship with God, either ...
