That's the Way it Happened - Part Three

“I’m going down there tonight to be with her, you know that don’t you? David smiled and tugged on James’ arm. “Help me down from this stool will you?

James steadied his friend as he slipped off the stool. “What do you mean David, are you in any shape to walk down that hill?

“Perhaps not, but tonight is my last chance. I won’t be here tomorrow. David grabbed his cane and headed back into the house.

“You know James, I do understand why you and Alex have become so close. He needs you now perhaps more than ever. Walking to the bar and pouring two drinks, David felt as though several pounds of weight was slowly being lifted from his shoulders. “Here, my friend, you’ll need this I think. We need to talk.

“I have a story to tell and I don’t want you to interrupt, let me get it out and then you may respond in any way you wish. David sat on the sofa and tapped on the cushion beside him. “Come, sit beside me.

Sophie's in town but not with Juliet
Sophie's in town, visiting Jiggy and me and probably the twins later this week. I gave her a gift. Guess what? A DVD of "Letters from Juliet." At first Sophie was preoccupied with other things, said she wasn't interested. But I egged her and nagged her

They all kill jobs!
Let's take a look at a small business, one that currently makes a profit of about 100,000 per year. A fair profit I think for a small business, say a family owned restaurant. They have 30 employees. Lets give each employee a 50 cent raise. Assuming read the rest

Seahawks Win!!!
Over the years I have watched many lopsided games. Invariably, whether my "favorite" team was winning or losing, I considered the game most uninspiring. When one considers that this was a "championship" game between the two most dominate teams in the read the rest

This explains it all.
actually this (the above video) explains nothing. I'm quite sure they had to interview more than a few individuals in order to come up with that particular group of grossly uninformed voters. Also I'm quite sure that a similar group of McCain and read the rest

A free press, constitutionally speaking, is one free to question and/or criticize government without fear of censure by said government. It is really that simple. The same is true of freedom of speech and assembly. The founders were not terribly read the rest
